PUBLIC SERVICE PIPELINE PROJECT
vision & mission
Launched in 2025, the Public Service Pipeline Project (PSPP) is an ongoing endeavor with the goal to see more Asian American attorneys in public service in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
To do this, the PSPP seeks to serve as a “pipeline” or “ecosystem” to encourage and support Asian American attorneys and prospective attorneys in pursuing or furthering careers in public service. The touchstones for the PSPP are threefold:
How can DAABA support its members interested in pursuing public service?
How can DAABA support its members who are are already in public service?
How can DAABA encourage its members to pursue careers in public service?
programming
“Pursuing Justice, Finding Purpose” Fireside Chat Series
Quarterly informal get-together fireside talks featuring different local public servants to learn about their personal journeys to land in public service. This is a great opportunity to meet other attorneys currently or interested in pursuing careers in public service, whether as a judge, government attorney, or elected official.
Career Fairs and Panels (forthcoming)
PSPP actively encourages participation in career fairs and panels for law students at local law schools (e.g., Southern Methodist University, Texas A&M University Law, and University of North Texas at Dallas School of Law).
Targeted Workshops (forthcoming)
Focused workshops for DAABA members interested in or actively pursuing a particular government position—e.g., applying/running for a federal or state judgeship, applying to state or federal prosecutors’ offices, running for local office, etc.
