APIS IN HOUSE CLE

Please register for a Zoom CLE hosted by the Asian Pacific Interest Section for the State Bar of Texas (APIS) titled Keeping Your House In Order – Advice from APA In House Attorneys on Succeeding Within Your Organization.  This CLE features DAABA members Shruti Krishnan (Peloton) and Ashley Yen (Methodist Hospital).  The CLE starts at noon on November 7 and will have one hour of CLE, followed by 30 minutes of break out group discussion.  You can register at the link here: https://lnkd.in/gXTaGk-f.  This CLE will focus on helping APA in house attorneys excel within their organizations and leverage relationships internally.  This is a two-part series hosted by APIS. The Spring CLE will focus on excelling outside one’s respective organization and successfully leveraging external relationships with other in house attorneys and outside counsel for career growth and life satisfaction.

The Alliance

The Alliance is a new initiative that includes NAPABA, GC’s, 40 law firms, and leading AAPI advocacy organizations partnering together nationwide to ensure Asian hate crime victims have access to pro bono legal services. NAPABA and AAPI advocacy organizations will perform the initial intake with victims and refer them to The Alliance. The Alliance will then drive pro bono legal services from top law firms to assist and support victims of APA hate.

What they need right now is grassroots support with getting the word out to our local Asian communities. The only way this works is if people report APA hate crimes to not only the local police, but also to The Alliance.
