The Department of Labor, Office of the Solicitor, Deputy Solicitor for National Operations – Washington, DC

The Office of the Solicitor (SOL)  is looking for an experienced eager and high-performing attorney to serve as its Deputy Associate Solicitor for National Operations.  This position is located in the Office of Solicitor, Washington, DC.

 The Deputy Solicitor for National Operations is, along with the Deputy Solicitor for Regional Enforcement, one of the Solicitor of Labor's two primary top career leaders, managing ten National Office divisions and SES members, while also serving as a top legal advisor to the Solicitor of Labor, providing critical input to the Solicitor and Deputy Solicitor on developing and accomplishing the legal and management goals of the Office of the Solicitor (SOL). The Deputy Solicitor for National Operations provides leadership to SOL's ten National Office divisions. The Deputy Solicitor for National Operations has responsibility for the overall direction, organization, and supervision of the divisions. 

 Candidates must possess technical and management experience and have developed the knowledge and skills required for effective performance of the specific duties of the position. Candidates must have had experience at a major management level (normally equivalent to the GS-15 level in the federal service).
