The School of Law at SMU was established in February 1925. Highlighting the celebration of its 75th year, SMU School of Law was named Dedman School of Law in 2001 in honor of Dallas benefactors Nancy and Robert H. Dedman, Sr., and their family. With more than 15,000 graduates, SMU Dedman School of Law has a national and international reputation of training prominent lawyers in both law and business. About the Position:
Reporting directly to the Dean, the Director is responsible for creating and overseeing all alumni relations efforts, including cultivating alumni relationships and increasing alumni involvement and annual giving for the law school.
The position will manage all aspects of a strategic alumni program with the goal of increasing alumni participation in philanthropy, mentoring, admissions, and career services and ensuring the program complements the work of advancement and campaign activities.
The Director will work closely with the law school’s Director of Development to develop new outreach programs and enhance existing outreach efforts to secure greater involvement and connection of alumni with the law school.
The position will work with the central University’s development and alumni team, the Dean, and the Director of Development to enhance and increase the law school’s annual giving efforts.
