ASSOCIATE LEGAL COUNSEL

Job Summary

Provide transactional support and counsel to corporate clients in the following areas: Healthcare-Related Procurement Contracts, Business & Contract Development, Consulting Services, General Corporate Operations, Human Resources, Marketing and Technology.

Responsibilities:

Will aid  in preparation of contractual provisions
Responsible for independently developing complex and varied contracts and other procurements
Identify operational strengths and weaknesses, or areas of non-compliance with policy, rules or procedures
Advise on the administration of contract proposals and corrective action
Conduct research and background information related to legal issues, gather records and files, and compiles information for review and analysis
Engage external counsel to coordinate communication and services

Qualifications:

J.D. from accredited law school, with license to practice law in the State of Texas
2 to 4 years legal experience in corporate transactional area
Must be a graduate from an accredited law school and licensed to practice law in Texas
Procurement and/or contracting experience with at least 1 year in healthcare contract negotiation required
Knowledge of product and service purchasing policies and practices
Familiarity with healthcare issues is helpful, but not mandatory
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, as well as interpersonal skills

 Job Description Purpose:

 The Managing Attorney will function as a key strategic advisor to the
 Target India leadership team and serve as a critical link to Target's
 Minneapolis-based Law Department. The Managing Attorney will also be
 asked to identify and implement best practices for enhancing overall
 Law Department efficiency. On a day-to-day basis, the Managing
 Attorney will provide legal advice to Target India leadership as
 requested; hire, train and supervise a team of legal professionals;
 develop contracts capabilities in India; and assist Target
 Corporation and Target India with general legal matters. The Managing
 Attorney will also support the Law Department in identifying U.S.
 legal processes that can be outsourced and provide legal support to

 Job Requirements

 Minimum Requirements:

 Law degree from an accredited law school in India; post-graduate
 degree in Law would be preferred.

 Licensed to practice law in India.

 10 + years of experience.

 Prior work experience with corporate law department of a U.S.-based
 multi-national corporation or partner in an accredited law firm
 preferred.

 Experience managing legal professionals.

 Familiarity with Indian Companies Act, 1956; STPI / SEZ processes;
 labor laws; Income Tax Act; and other applicable laws.

 Maintain a relationship with the Registrar of Companies, Karnataka.

 Strong research and analytical skills.

 Strong written and oral communication skills.

 Demonstrated leadership skills and maturity of judgment.

 Ability to weigh legal risks and business factors.

 Ability to deliver proactive and innovative legal advice.

 Nokia is seeking a Patent Attorney or Patent Agent. This position is
 responsible for drafting and prosecuting patent applications in the
 United States (US) and globally (in cooperation with local
 associates) and works with Research and Development (R&D) and other
 Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) professionals. This position is
 responsible for following patent law and practice in the US and in
 sharing information with the Nokia IPR community. This position may
 also be involved in mentoring and training candidates for
 drafting/prosecution work and for attorney qualifying examinations.
 Technology fields may include different areas of communication
 technologies. The Patent Attorney/Patent Agent reports to the head
 of in-house Filing and Prosecution (US).

 Requirements
 Patent Attorney with Juris Doctorate or
 Patent Agent with a Bachelor of Science in Technology or Engineering
 and
 3 or more years of experience in drafting and prosecution work.
 Experience in third party patent analysis is highly preferred.
 Experience in training and mentoring. Excellent organization and
 prioritization skills, as well as ability to collaborate and network
 in a multicultural and global environment. Excellent communication
 skills in English, both written and verbal. Ideally, familiarity
 with communication technologies industry and standardization work is
 preferred.

AIG Investments—Private Equity Attorney (Hong Kong)

The Legal team for AIG Investments in Asia ex-Japan is looking for an
experienced private equity attorney with transactional experience in
private equity investments and some fund formation experience to join the
team in Hong Kong to service the private equity activities in the Asia
region.

Candidates should have a minimum of 4-6 years of private equity experience
with a major US law firm, exposure to deals in Asia, some fund formation
experience and preferably fluency in an Asian language. We are looking for
candidates who can work independently and with little supervision, have a
lot of energy and are proactive, have strong interpersonal, oral/written
communication and management skills, and willing to work hard and travel
if necessary.

Compensation and benefits are based on local standards, which are similar
