Shruti is Associate Legal Counsel at Tabletop Media, LLC d/b/a Ziosk, which owns and manufactures a proprietary suite of tablet devices for use in casual dining restaurants. Shruti’s practice includes corporate, intellectual property, data security and privacy, and marketing/advertising law. Shruti graduated from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute with a B.S. in Bioinformatics and Molecular Biology, and from UT Southwestern Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences with a M.S. in Biophysics. She received her law degree from SMU Dedman School of Law in 2010. Outside of DAABA, Shruti is a major foodie and enjoys cooking and exploring new restaurants and hot spots around town.

Jason is a Senior Counsel at Accudyne Industries, LLC, a manufacturer of industrial pumps and compressors. He has a wide range of responsibilities in Accudyne’s legal department, ranging from negotiating commercial contracts to managing litigation. Prior to joining Accudyne, Jason was a Senior Associate in Alston & Bird LLP’s litigation department, and he clerked on the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. Jason received a B.A. and B.S. in International Studies and Economics at Southern Methodist University and his law degree from the University of Virginia. Jason recently got married to his wife, Diane Shyung, and the two of them enjoy good food and traveling.

Drew is an attorney at the law firm Bryan Cave LLP, where he practices commercial litigation. Drew has practiced before state and federal courts, including bankruptcy courts, in both Texas and Louisiana (where he is also licensed). Drew chairs the board of directors for Literacy Instruction for Texas, a non-profit dedicated to improving Texas by teaching adults to read. Before entering private practice, Drew was a nationally-recognized French teacher.

Ann served as the Chair of DAABA’s 2015 Annual Awards Night at the Bush Institute. Outside of DAABA, Ann enjoys scuba diving, rock climbing, cooking, yoga, and traveling with her husband Sunny.

Hao received his bachelor of science in Electrical Engineering and his Juris Doctor from the University of Texas at Austin in December 2003. Monika graduated from UT Austin with a BBA in finance, and obtained her law degree from SMU Dedman School of Law in 2007. Monika and her husband Quinn have a baby boy named Ivan. They both enjoy travelling and any kind of vacation generally, trying out new recipes, checking out concerts and comedy shows, and all things DAABA-related.
Caren K. Lock
Caren K. Lock is the Regional Vice President and Associate General Counsel of TIAA. She was the former Corporate Co-Chair of the Women’s Employee Resource Group and is currently a member of the Denver/Broomfield Leadership Council and Dallas Leadership Council. Before entering the corporate world, Caren spent over a decade litigating complex business matters including copyright and trademark infringement, employment discrimination, shareholder and partnership disputes, aviation, and toxic tort.
Caren is the Board Chair and a member of the Executive Committee at the Dallas Women’s Foundation. Caren is also a Board member of the Texas State Bar College and the Founders Board of the University of North Texas School of Law. Previously, she has also served on the Boards of Girls Inc. Metropolitan Dallas, Dallas Bar Association, State of Texas Asian Pacific Interest Section, and was President and former Board member of the Dallas Asian American Bar Association, and the Center for Nonprofit Management in Dallas. Caren is also a member of The Dallas Assembly and a graduate of The Leader Dallas Program. From 2008 – 2013, she served on the Texas State Bar Grievance Panel and was Chair of her panel.
In her spare time, Caren volunteers at the Cancer Support Community (formerly Gilda’s Clubhouse) teaching yoga to cancer survivors and their families. She resides in Allen with her husband, Michael Bahar, and her two sons.
